Lucas W. Schindlar

Growing up on Long Island,  architecture is often thought of in two main categories: suburban residential homes and the urban scale of New York City.

During high school, I was selected as part of a community project, which involved designing and building for a charity. I learned how architecture can develop beyond the categories of residential and urban development. I knew this was the career path I wanted to explore. 

Through experiencing and studying the profession, I have become passionate in how design can better incorporate social interactions among users and the surrounding environment of each site.
